I know it's been seriously ages since I've posted anything....like 2 months?
I've been a total slacker on the blog, and in world...but meh. :p Whatcha gonna do.
This summer has been super busy RL, and I've been enjoying it. :p

But I have got some new stuff for you, right after all the new information.
First off we've closed The Pounded Flounder. I know, horrible.
It was sad to see it go, but with having everything going on RL I just didn't have the time to devote to the mall that I needed to, and I didn't feel it was fair to the people who were renting there to not be promoting the place, or even put out new items to pull people in, or have events. So...
Heather from .hc&co. and I have got us some land in Arame for our main shops, and invited Holli Thespian from Holli Pocket and there you have it. Our fancy little enchanted swamp.

And now onto the new stuff.
Hot Mess. I love this outfit. Simply fantastic. I'm never taking it off.

Wee..new stuff from Frop! and a plug for some dang awesome music.
A couple years ago I found an awesome pianist off MySpace Music and since then I've been hooked. His name is Elijah Bossenbroek. His music has served for many countless hours of meditating, photography editing, and just plain relaxing. All of Elijah's songs have a very calming effect. One of my favorites is 'I give Up'

Frop! Is Hiring Live Models/CSR's

Frop! is currently hiring Live Models/CSR's for the main shop in Fropville.

This position includes being available at the shop, for a minimum of 6 hours a week, to model the Frop! clothing and accessories, and be there to answer questions regarding the mall and the shop.

This position is paid 35L/hour, plus you receive free frop!
We aren't setting any specific schedule, as I firmly believe that RL should always come before SL, and no sane person can 'schedule' SL into their lives.
We just ask that you maintain the minimum hours listed.

First let me say, that some people make me lose faith in what I'm doing.....

I received a notecard today from a girl who had received a FREE gift card from one of the clubs I sponsor. FREE GIFTCARD. FREE STUFF. It said:

Sooo much drama in the world. =p
Whew, there seems to be so much going around about the VIP Keys Hunt.
I too got to see the hunt from both ends. I was a designer and a hunter.
I thought that doing the hunt was FUN.
It took a few hours out of my day off and I actually complete it. I can't remember the last time I completed a hunt. lol
I went off with HC and Fuk and we were big goof balls for a few hours of the day.
When we were done, we went back to the platform to check out our goodies.
I was thrilled with Liquid Candy's input, I couldn't believe the amount of items thrown in for the hunt. I LURVE the retro skybox, and *gasps* it came in furnished and unfurnished versions. I also loved the damn pogo ball from catnip lol I'm a bit of a spaz (anyone that knows me in world can attest to that) and I love doing silly stupid things. I bounced around on that pogo ball for hours. Cute hair from Magika, awesome skins from Atomic, cute shoes with feet that are scripted for color change and so so so much more.
While some of the things weren't my style or didn't fit the sl persona I've chosen to create, I have a HUGE thanks to all the designers that put their time and effort into making these outfits. Also a huge thanks goes to Kenzie for getting this organize and Mal for setting up the hint blog.(Sorry if I left anyone out)

I'm tired of seeing all the negative comments that surrounded this hunt. People that are upset with Kenzie because of something they heard she did or said to one of their friends. Comments about the quality of some of the things people made. Everyone has their own idea of quality and everyone in SL is different. Some people think the things I make are crap. Well good for you. I make things because I enjoy creating them. If people buy them, that's awesome. I'm glad I can make things that others like too. But if they don't like them, there are thousand of others stores and styles out there for them to choose from.

The ongoings lately on the blogs about freebie items...bah. I'm just tired of the negativity. Don't attack someone for who they are in RL over something that's happened in world. It's childish and petty.
I don't think I'll be participating in any more hunts after the looking glass hunt is over. It's just too much to deal with anymore. I can't believe how incredibly mean people are.

In other news....Fukmi Clothing, Holli Pocket and Frop! are planning a huge fantastic sale to happen in the next week or two.
It will be...dun dun dun. Bring a Friend!

What's in a Name?

I have to vent, so if you don't want to see the mean pissy side of Lawra, I'd suggest clicking somewhere else.

This morning one of my good friends on SL was reported for having an inappropriate name. Some of you may know her, and if you don't I suggest you get to know her. She's absatootly fantastik. Her name is Fukmi Sideways.
So yeah, a bit on the 'vulgar' side, but WAY more on the funny side.
WTF
At what point in society did we have to start taking care of people that are adults and should be able to handle them selves? Why do we set all these rules in place, so we don't 'offend' someone who may or may not have the same morals, religious views, political views or any other damn view. If I'm walking down the street, and I see someone wearing a shirt that says something I find offensive, shouldn't I just be responsible enough to think to myself 'wow, that's insane' and not try and get that person in trouble for wearing a shirt that IIIII find offensive, when the guy next to me thinks it's funny?
I don't understand how we got to the point where you can be in trouble in our society for 'offending' someone.
I'm tired of people that can't grow the hell up and take responsibility for themselves.

Someone would have had to see her name in world, pull up an AR and take the damn time to fill it out. You were THAT effing offended that you wasted 10 minutes or more of your day to send a damn AR to LL? GET A DAMN LIFE.
Grrrrr - Okay I'm done with that.

Moving on to a happier note....cadbury has made MINIATURE cadbury eggs and I've decided I like them much better than the larger ones. Want to know why?
Well so did I...so I dissected one of each and I discovered..that the small eggs don't have all the gross white filling, just the orange creamy filling.
Well, ya learn something new every day.

A happy little welcome to my blog roll Elle Kirshner.
Elle owns Second Spaces and Pulling Strings in-world and I've always loved her furniture/decor. AND Customer Service? She's got it. She once customized a living room set for me and made it green! I heart it and it's STILL up in my little house.
I decided today to wander to her shop to see what she'd been working on.
While there I discovered she's started making animations. Wahoo. They are so cute. I got one called Pile *points down*

Stupid Fropping Lawra.....

So there I was this morning, racing with the hamsters on motorbikes, chatting on skype and what did I do?
SPLASH. Dumped my coffee all over my keyboard. See what happens when I get time off from RL work? Bad things happen. The poor lappy is currently dis-assembled on on the kitchen table drying out.
Everyone cross their damn fingers is not fried.
Funny thing however, hubby said 'at least you use sweet n low instead of sugar' and I'm thinking...WTF is he talking about?
APPARENTLY sweet n low is less corrosive than cane sugar. Whooda thunk? lol

So...4 hours of drying down, 20 to go. Wish me luck!

So....lots of things going on this week.
We've pretty much got the mall put back together and it's looking great.
The houses are about...oh I'd say 50% done and Fukmi and Heather have been busting their butts to get this done.
Poor little wini is being bombarded with IMs and my stupid requests and she's probably wishing she would have ran away lol

So besides dropping houses on peoples heads, taking a wrecking ball through the whole sim and pulling my hair out of my head (a few times over) things seem to be going great! lol
To kick all of this off, we're going to do a pre-grand opening party. Sort of.
Just a small little concert to prove that while yes, we do know how to tear down peoples houses and disrupt their lives, we also know how to have fun.

Dann Numbers will be playing live at the new club house in Fropville this Thursday night at 6:30pm slt.
Dann played a show for us at the old mall, when we had Flounderpalooza, and he gained quite the fan base *leers at lexi* lol He has an amazing voice and a sense of humor to boot! If you want to listen to some of his songs go here:

Holy Frop!

Wow, lots of changes.

A while ago, I started toying with the idea of re-branding. Scary thought huh?
I don't really make 'neko' themed items anymore...and it was just time for a change.

So I kept toying with the idea, talked to some people and decided I'd do it, but didn't set myself a time frame to do so...

A few weeks ago, I got notice from Todd, who was the owner of Pretty 'n Punk sim, that he was getting rid of his sim. My initial thought was nuuuuu!
I heart Todd. He has been my inspiration since I met him. Nekorifik and The Pounded Flounder wouldn't exist if it weren't for him. He was brutally honest when I started making things, told me when they sucked, and finally pushed me to start selling things.
My first shop I ever opened was on his sim at PnP, and I moved up from there, bought my own land, opened a shop and then opened The Pounded Flounder Shopping District.

Anyways...after a lot of time of me trying to convince Todd not to leave, because I couldn't imagine not having the PnP sim (I also have lived there in his homes for the last year and a half) We ended up deciding he'd transfer the sim to lil 'ol me.
And thus began the last 2 weeks of hell. *laughs*

I've renamed the sim to Fropville. The name Frop! has an interesting story and I'll try to make it short. A longggg time ago there was a little kitty in SL that means the world to me. I still keep in regular touch with him outside of SL, and he's really my bestest bestest friend *waves to the Nemo Kitty and blows kishes*
We're both a little bit *out there* and anyone that knows me well enough, knows that I just randomly make up words. Hence, the word Frop came, and for the last 2 years, I honestly thought I'd made it up. I recently found out however, that I in fact did NOT create this word. Apparently, Frop is a hallucinogenic drug that you smoke.
LMAO. Either way, it fits the craziness of all of this. So...Frop it. Hehehehe.

So back to what's going to happen now. I'm going to try and keep the PnP sim similar to how it has been for the last 2 or so years. I have been working on rebuilding the mall to try and accommodate all of my renters at the current Flounder, as well as the current renters at PnP.
The homes will stay as well. We do have to rebuild it all at some point, but until the mall phase is complete, I'll leave those alone.

So there's that. My whole big story. A huge thanks to Todd for giving me the opportunity to do this.He's planning on keeping his main shop on the Fropville sim. A huge thanks to Winirose who is planning on staying on at PnP for the time being. She is amazing more than she knows, and I have loved this girl since I met her.
A HUGE HUGE thanks to Annabella. Without her, The Pounded Flounder wouldn't even run or stay standing, and is my bestest lil friend ever. A huge thanks to Fukmi and Amanda for all their help with pulling this all together, and a HUGE thanks to my Lan man for pulling together the project planning that will help the transition go a hell of a lot more smoothly. I hope I haven't forgotten anyone in my soap box speech.

We'll be doing a HUGE opening party, that will tie in to the fashion show we've been planning for a few months. As more information is available, we'll get it to you.
